Volunteer Deputy Registrars

Volunteer Deputy Registrars are entrusted with the responsibility of officially registering voters in the State of Texas. They are appointed by county voter registrars and charged with helping increase voter registration in the state.

Volunteer Deputy Registrar Training is typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. unless there is an election or another scheduling conflict. Please contact the Elections Department to confirm.  All training classes will be conducted in the conference room on the lower level of the Courthouse Annex Building at 804 Pecan Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602.  Please contact the Elections Department to preregister for the training class that you wish to attend.  Additional training classes may be scheduled with the Elections Department Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm, excluding holidays and election days.  If you have any questions, please contact us at 512-581-7160 or elections@co.bastrop.tx.us.
